A Hill to Die on features a woman, naked, lying on a hill with a bleeding slice down her spine.
This piece was created on a particularly difficult day while I was living in New Orleans. Wrestling the utter loneliness of being surrounded by faces I would never know, I began to dream of a peaceful escape from life. It also represents the feeling of betrayal. Betrayal from others who did not check in on me when I needed them, and betrayal from myself, should I leave those who did care behind.
